Do not choose Class 1 only because it appears to be a "higher" licence. Choose it if you genuinely need the additional vehicle range.
Applicants must generally be at least 19, have held a Class 1 or Class 2 Regular licence for at least one year, and meet the physical requirements. A separate Class 1 Special licence is required for towing, recovery vehicles and certain trailers — Class 1 Large does not automatically cover every trailer.
Licence issuance, physical examination, insurance and other applicable administrative charges may be separate. View the Class 1 Large course →

The cheapest examination fee is not necessarily the lowest overall cost if you need separate lessons or multiple test attempts.
A new examination fee is charged for each additional attempt. Extra training is not included automatically in the retest fee.
Under current public examination rules, a failed skills or road test can generally be retaken after the required waiting period.
The final quotation should identify every charge before the student pays.
SDA's displayed program prices include 10% VAT.
Three-month interest-free installments may be available with an eligible card. Confirm eligibility before payment.
Full refund before training starts. After training begins, completed hours are deducted and the remainder is refunded under the academy's current policy — confirm the exact amount in writing before enrolment.
Missed or late lessons: a 30,000 KRW hourly charge may apply. The current policy waives the charge when the lesson is rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Not always. The examination-centre fee for an exchange is small, but Apostille or embassy authentication, entry-exit certificates, translation and courier costs add up, and the process can take several weeks depending on your nationality. Many applicants find that SDA's six-day English programme (875,000 KRW for Class 2, 905,000 KRW for Class 1, including the first test attempts) works out faster and less expensive overall once those extra steps are included. It depends on your situation — compare both routes before deciding.
Yes. Send SDA your current licence status, nationality, visa status and required licence category. Staff can confirm the appropriate course and current fees.
Prices depend on the licence category you need, the licence you already hold, automatic or manual conditions, the required training stages, the number of test attempts, standard or Mobile IC licence issuance, and any optional textbook or additional training. Send your information and receive a personalised cost breakdown.
We'll reply with an itemised breakdown for your licence category and current status.
