The professional category. Buses and trucks of any size, construction machinery and unlimited forklifts — with no road driving test, but the highest bar to enter.

You must be at least 19 years old and have held a Class 1 or Class 2 Regular licence for at least one year. Training is 3 hours of lecture plus 10 hours of technical course practice, the skills test pass mark is 80 out of 100, and there is no road driving test. The programme costs 837,000 KRW including VAT.
The minimum age for Class 1 Large is 19, two years higher than the ordinary car categories.
You must have held a Class 1 or Class 2 Regular licence for at least one year. Motorcycle-only experience does not count.
Legal minimum education requirement. Applicants must also meet the statutory minimum education requirement for this category. Bring your existing licence when you enrol so we can verify eligibility before you pay.

Class 1 Large is the broadest driving category in Korea short of the special towing licences.
Excluded: large tow trucks, small tow trucks and rescue vehicles. Those require a Class 1 Special licence.
There is no road driving test in this category — everything is decided on the closed course.
Every task must be completed. Skipping one is an automatic fail regardless of your score elsewhere.
The gear shift task applies to manual transmission candidates only. The signalized intersection is combined with a cross intersection on the SDA circuit.

These rules are set by the academy and apply to every programme.
Theory, course practice and on-road lessons must all be completed within 3 months of your start date.
The course (skills) test must be passed within 6 months of finishing theory. The road test must be passed while your learner's licence is valid — 1 year.
Every practical session must be booked at least 1 hour in advance. Practical training can be scheduled any time the academy is open, 09:00–20:00.
30,000 KRW per hour is charged for a missed or late session. The fee is waived if you reschedule at least 24 hours ahead.
Full refund before training starts. After it starts, completed hours are deducted and half of the remaining time is refunded.
Fines incurred during a lesson or test — signals, speed and similar — are the learner's responsibility.

The SDA programme is 837,000 KRW including 10% VAT and covers 3 hours of lecture plus 10 hours of technical course practice. Required additional fees are around 63,000 KRW, so budget roughly 900,000 KRW in total.
70 out of 100 on the written test, which is waived if you already hold another licence, and 80 out of 100 on the skills course test. There is no road driving test for this category.
