What is Anyang Driving School?

Anyang Driving School (SDA, School of Driving Anyang) is a certified driving academy in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, about 30 minutes from central Seoul. It specialises in helping foreign residents obtain a Korean driver's licence, with theory classes delivered in English every Saturday afternoon and skills and road tests conducted on its own campus.

Why SDA

Why foreign residents come to us

Getting licensed in Korea is difficult from the outside — unfamiliar test formats, a fixed sequence of steps and, for most academies, no English at any point in the process.

English support

Theory classes in English every Saturday afternoon, with staff who handle registration, scheduling and test booking in English.

Flexible schedule

Open 365 days a year. Practical sessions run from 09:00 to 20:00, so training fits around a full-time job or classes.

Convenient location

Five minutes on foot from Gwanak Station Exit 1 on Line 1, and easy to reach from Seoul, Suwon, Gunpo and Uiwang.

Certified academy

Fully authorised by the Korean authorities. Training completed here counts toward the official licence requirements.

English theory classes

Theory in English runs every Saturday from 13:00 to 16:00, in three consecutive periods. Arrive by 12:00 with your Alien Registration Card to register first — no booking needed.

What we provide

Four things, done properly

Theory education · 학과교육

Classroom instruction on Korean traffic law, road signs, safe driving practice and written exam preparation. Available in Korean and English.

Course driving practice · 장내기능

Practice on our own circuit — parking, lane changes and manoeuvring. You learn the exact course you will be tested on.

Road driving practice · 도로주행

Real traffic with a qualified instructor on the designated examination routes, so the test day route is already familiar.

Test scheduling support

We explain each step and book your official tests, so nothing stalls because a form was filed in the wrong order.

For foreign residents. You can either take the full test route — written, course then road — or exchange an existing foreign licence if you are eligible. Our staff will tell you which path is faster for your nationality before you commit to anything.
